The El Naturalista N6001 Horizon is a premium barefoot sandal for adults built on a simple yet demanding premise: to allow the foot to walk as if it were bare, while providing the protection, fit, and high-quality materials required for hours of continuous wear. Featuring a zero-drop design, an unrestricted comfort last, a flexible rubber sole, hand-worked Arizona leather with an irregular grain, and an anatomical leather footbed that mirrors the natural shape of the foot.
Founded in 2002 in Quel (La Rioja), El Naturalista was born from the conviction that sustainability, comfort, and design are not mutually exclusive. The Horizon line is their first explicitly barefoot range, representing the synthesis of this belief: responsible footwear, made in Spain, using natural materials and a walking philosophy that promotes natural movement.
The Stone colour—a matte taupe/stone with a visible grain—is the most versatile in the Horizon family. While available in three colours (Stone, Black, and Red), Stone is the one that complements any wardrobe without requiring specific coordination.
Available at Calzados Vesga, located in the Plaza Mayor of Burgos and through our online store. If you have questions about sizing or whether barefoot footwear is right for your foot type, we are here to help: we believe in providing honest advice before every purchase.

Barefoot: What it means in practice Barefoot isn't just about a "thin sole." It’s a combination of features that allow the foot to function as nature intended:
-
Zero Drop: The heel and forefoot are at the exact same height. The foot isn't forced into plantar flexion (like in heels). This promotes a neutral gait and natural alignment.
-
Wide Toe Box: Fingers can splay and extend naturally. Conventional footwear often compresses the toes; the Horizon provides real space.
-
No Rigid Heel Counter: The heel isn't locked in a stiff structure, allowing for natural mobility.
-
Flexible Sole: The sole bends in all directions, activating the foot's intrinsic muscles.
Arizona Leather: Artisan Character Arizona leather is soft and flexible, worked with an artisan process that creates an irregular grain. In the Stone colour, this grain is particularly visible, providing a visual depth that smooth leathers lack. Over time, it develops a beautiful natural patina.
The Anatomical Footbed The footbed is crafted from natural leather and designed to replicate foot anatomy, including the arch relief and heel cup. It adapts to your specific foot shape over time, meaning the sandal becomes more comfortable with every wear.
Closure System Two antique bronze buckles on the instep allow for independent adjustment—perfect for wide feet or high insteps. The heel is secured with an adjustable leather cord, ensuring the sandal stays in place without the slipping common in non-adjustable heel straps.
